The directions here are for the Contact Tab, but apply to all 3 Tabs. My information, Contact and Loan.
Contact Tab
Click on the Edit button to open the Custom Fields Editor.
The directions here are more detailed then adding your information to existing fields, here we will be creating our own fields.
For demonstration purposes we will be creating a custom field called Favorite Flower.
Step1. Click on the Add Item to List button
located top left in the Custom Fields Editor. As you can see in the below image a new blank field (Highlighted blue) was created.

Step 2. Type in the code window to the right: Favorite Flower, as shown in the below image.

Step 3. Click on the Insert parameter button shown here
it is located in the upper right hand corner on the menu bar.
The Parameter info window will appear, here is where you will enter the custom field information. Do not worry about doing anything wrong here, the field we are creating can be deleted afterwards. All the directions will make more sense after you have completed them and view the end result.

Step 4. There are 4 Parameter text boxes and 1 drop down box. Each one is explained below.
Parameter name: Here you will enter a custom field name that you can use when Editing or programming documents in the library. The name cannot have any spaces. Example: Test_Field or TestField, Not Test Field.
Type in: Favorite_Flower or FavoriteFlower
Parameter value: The value here is the name of the field that you will see in green text. Type in: Favorite Flower (You can have spaces here).
Parameter hint: You can type anything here to create a hint pop-up when you hold your mouse over the finished custom field.
Type in: Contacts favorite flower.
Parameter type: When you click in the field that has the blue drop down arrow you get a drop down list of different types of parameters to choose from. For a detailed explanation click here Parameter Type List. For this demonstration we will be using Edit from the drop down list.
Parameter extra: If we were creating a drop down list, here is where we would create the options in the list, such as; Carnation, Rose or Tulip and to do this we would type in that text field: Carnation then type in the Pipe character | <---on your keyboard. The Pipe character is located below your Backspace key when you hold down your shift key. It would look like this when complete: Carnation|Rose|Tulip
But since we are not creating a drop down box we will leave this field blank. See Parameter Type List for detailed instructions for each type.
When finished the Parameter Info window should look like the image below.
Click OK.
Step 5. Place your cursor at the end of the word Favorite Flower (highlighted blue in the below image) as if you were going to continue typing, then Click on the Set Indent icon
located above the word "Edit" in the code window and to the left of the Blink icon
.

The Set indent window will appear. Set the value to 100. Hint: try different values to see what it does, it moves the green name Favorite Flower from left to right, depending on the Indent value you enter. Click OK.

Step 6. Click on the Update Item in List button
located top left in the Custom Fields Editor. The end result should be the same as the below image.

Step 7. To Finish: (1) Click on the Accept changes button
located top right in the Custom Fields Editor menu. (2) Close the Custom Fields Editor window. ![]()
(3) Close the Setup Options window by clicking the OK button.
Now that the custom field Favorite Flower has been created, click on the Contact Tab in WorkCenter and then the Info Tab located below it, to the right you can see the new field you have created. Now anytime you have a contact open and want to enter that contacts favorite flower, all you do is click on the green question mark ? and type in their favorite flower.

Note: If you wish to delete any custom field you have created or any default fields, open the Custom fields Editor and click on the field you wish to delete, then click the Remove Item from List button,
located top left in the Custom Fields Editor.
