To import Excel spreadsheets, choose File then Import then Contacts/Loans from the WorkCenter menu.

1. Select Excel file as the file format. Click Next>

2. Import file from: Select the location of your Excel document by clicking on the button to the right of the Import from file: (Red arrow). This opens the Select a file for import window. Select your Excel file from it's location and choose Open.

3. You don't have to change any settings here in the Data formats window, however; by choosing 1 for the First row : field, allows you to see the column headings in the next window, by choosing 2 it will show just the field values.

4. To make adjustments to any of the field breaks, click on the corresponding letters of those fields and choose from the column name pop-up List.

Note: If you have not created a column in your Excel file that has the contacts full names in under that column IE: John Smith or John and Mary Smith under column name Full names or contacts full names. You will have to manually enter the names into the full name... field in WorkCenter (shown Below).

5. Select from the column pop-up list the appropriate name for that column, or continue to next screen to make any changes. Click Next>.

6. The next screen allows you to set the field mappings to specify the correspondence between fields in the source and the destination files. IE: WorkCenter.

Example: if your Excel field J is the Home Fax Number choose from the drop down list the letter J. Also to make any field a key field, put a check mark in the appropriate box, such as; the contacts Last name. This makes that field a key field for that contact, making it a searchable field.

7. The next window allows you to check your data before importing it into WorkCenter, if you need to make any changes click on the < Back button.

8. The next screen has 3 options to choose from, select the appropriate import mode and click Execute to begin the import process.
