The Word documents within the WorkCenter Library are programmable, meaning that you are able to program them to populate with contact information.
To program an existing or new document first follow the editing documents instructions to open the document. See Editing Documents.
Once the document is open in Edit Mode, click on View, then Show Field List.

On the left side of the document a new window will appear (Field Listing) allowing you to see the available fields. The available fields are separated into groups so that you may choose the appropriate programming fields, depending on your LOS, document type, such as; GreatDocs, or any custom fields you have created. If your LOS is Calyx Point then you would choose Point from the Groups. See Field Listing Groups

When you want a particular field value to be programmed into the document, either drag it into the document or double click the field value and it will be input into the document.
Example: Look at the below image, to the right of where I typed Hello, I then doubled clicked the field value Borrower_FirstName from the Field Listing, It put in that programmed field, now when I want to print or send an email using this document, it will automatically populate the document with the borrowers first name.
Note: Usually you will want to use the Contact Name(s) and not the borrower names. If you use the borrower fields, the letter will be populated with the borrower information and will be addressed to what ever contact you select, in some instances the Contact and borrower information may not be the same.

To view the information associated with the contact record you have chosen and be able to tell the Editing feature of WorkCenter how you want it to populate the form, such as; Long Date, short Date, integer or currency, follow the directions below.
With the Field Listing window open, left click with your mouse the area shown here
it is located in the upper left hand corner next to the column FieldName. It will open giving you 3 choices that you can check or uncheck to view the current format and what values are being pulled in from your contact record. Shown in below image.

Choose all 3 to view the information. Shown in next image.

View the below image for an example of how you would choose the format you want to populate the document.

By clicking in the middle Format column, gives you a drop down list to choose the format you want to populate the document. It is currently showing medium date, but by choosing (asLongDate) it will change this format to LongDate as shown in the next image below.

The Value column is the information that is in the contact record you have currently chosen. This will assist you in knowing what information is associated with the field name, meaning that if you have the Field Listing for the Group:Point open, and the field named GF_810Amt and the Value information for that field is 500.00, you will be able to look in Calyx Point for that amount and know what field that is being pulled from; likewise for the other groups.
Most of the field names are easily understood such as; the borrower_DOB = Borrowers Birth date, but even though we have tried to make the field names as easy as possible to interpret, there are those that are more difficult and will require you to know what is in the record by searching for the information in Calyx Point. Note:The field name GF_810Amt is the WorkCenter field name for Calyx Point field 5355, which is on the Good Faith Estimate form and is the Processing Fee.
